Bridge Archaeology: Finding the Missing Links Between Series
Every series in the corpus makes claims, and every claim implies a neighbor. Bridge archaeology is the practice of excavating those implied neighbors: reading two series side by side and finding the connection that was never published. The S6 business series says the sovereign stack is a product line; the S7 security series says the stack is trustworthy. Somewhere between those two claims there is an article about what trust actually costs — and BR-201 was that bridge. The practice is not invention; it is discovery of what the corpus already implies.
How the excavation works
The method is a cross-product of series pairs. Take any two series, list the claims of each, and ask: which pair of claims, if connected, would make the corpus more useful? The studio series (S9) and the research series (S10) connect through visualization — hence BR-225. The simulation series (SIM) and the business series (S6) connect through sandbox-before-spend — hence BR-224. The research series and the operations series (OP) connect through evidence-that-becomes-runbooks — hence BR-223. Each excavation starts with a question a reader would ask while reading one series and wanting the other.
Why missing bridges are expensive
A missing bridge is a dead end for the reader and a dead link for the graph. The reader who finishes a security article and needs the business case has to search; the search may fail; the reader leaves. The graph itself is weaker: two clusters that should share an edge stay disconnected, and the corpus reads as a set of silos instead of a system. Bridges are cheap to publish and disproportionately valuable — they convert existing investment into new reachable paths.
The bridge ledger
The bridge layer now has a ledger: every bridge article is recorded with its two anchor series, so the next excavation starts from a map instead of a guess. The ledger is the standing artifact of bridge archaeology — the answer to “which two ideas have not yet been connected” is always one query away.
