Security has spent decades protecting machines — patching kernels, hardening daemons, locking down ports — while the actual asset, the record, sat in the same datacenter as an afterthought. The north star is unambiguous: everything is a record, and the hidden record is what the protected archive exists to protect. - Advertisement - This flips the threat model. The attacker who wants your machine is a nuisance; the attacker who wants your record is an existential threat. The audit layer is not a compliance artifact — it is the record’s immune system.
