The futures thesis is that idle agents are not idle; they are the dot engine. When the fleet is not publishing, researching, or serving customers, the profiles drop to lowest priority and scan the vault for connections: dangling references, orphan entities, series gaps, cross-domain overlaps. Each discovery is a dot — a proposed edge between two things that were never linked. The SECTOR7 design names this explicitly: profiles run at idle modes, read the vault and the master index for gaps, and emit dot connections. The gap engine has real material; the MASTER-INDEX-BRIDGE audit proved it — 181 untagged posts, a 54-post template batch, four real clusters wearing nineteen labels. The gap data is documented in the MASTER-INDEX-BRIDGE and the SECTOR7-RESEARCH-GRAPH-DESIGN. The vault itself is the mine — the wiki graph with entities, concepts, sources, and the dangling-link and orphan-entity analyses from the staging files. The sim-kot-namespace brief ensures idle agents can scan without polluting real KOT scores. The pieces of the dot engine are all documented; the automation is the missing half. ## The vision A cron job wakes the idle profiles each night. Each scans a slice: one watches hardware-to-article gaps, one business models, one content series, one the tag layer. Each emits dots — typed, evidence-linked suggestions: “S7.5 key rotation should connect to S6.3 rent-to-own” or “physical-ascension research brief needs an article in the S1 mesh series.” The cluster engine groups the dots, the human accepts, the execution fires. The fleet mines the vault continuously, so the idea backlog never empties and the content engine never starves. - Advertisement - ## What’s next The next increment is a single idle scan: one profile, one slice (the tag layer), one pass over the vault emitting candidate dots to a scratch file.
