The Four-Cluster Dashboard: Health Metrics for the Corpus
The corpus is a system, and systems need dashboards. The four-cluster dashboard is the health monitor for the knowledge graph: for each of the four real clusters — Metamaterial, Web Technology, Digital Business, AI & Automation — it tracks the metrics that tell whether the corpus is alive and growing well. The dashboard is the research track’s final deliverable: the corpus, monitored like the fleet it describes.
The five metrics
Count: how many posts the cluster holds — the raw mass, tracked per round (S10-24). Density: how many of the cluster’s posts actually discriminate — share of posts whose title and tags match the cluster’s real subject, not just its category (S10-18). Connectivity: how many bridges touch the cluster — the edges in the bridge map (S10-23). Coverage: how many of the standing gap list’s (S10-22) items for this cluster are closed. Freshness: the age of the newest post and the cadence of new ones (OP-2 applied to content). Five metrics per cluster, updated every round, rendered on the dashboard.
What the dashboard is for
The dashboard is the editorial board’s (SECTOR07a-17) instrument: before approving a batch, it reads the four clusters’ vitals and allocates the round to the weakest. A cluster with high count but low density needs tagging work (S10-20), not more posts; a cluster with low connectivity needs bridges (S10-21), not more nodes; a cluster with stale freshness needs cadence, not inspiration. The dashboard turns editorial judgment from instinct into measurement — the same conversion the operations series applied to the fleet (OP-8).
The dashboard as a public artifact
The four-cluster dashboard is also a reader-facing artifact: it is the map of the corpus made legible — the same promise as the reference architecture (EX-11), applied to content. A reader who sees the dashboard understands what the corpus covers, where it is deep, and where it is growing. The dashboard is the research track’s gift to the next round: the corpus, measured, monitored, and ready for the road to a thousand posts.
